UNIT 2: SOCIAL BASES OF EDUCATION Society: Society is an extended social group having a distinctive cultural and economic organization. It is characterized by pattern of relationships between individuals. It is a group of individuals who share a common system of customs, values, and laws. Society is the people who live in a country or region, their organizations, and their way of life. From the above definition of society, it is clear that individual person is its building blocks. Interact with people in society, individual persons realize that there is much learn from them. Hence society is one of the greatest facilitators of Education.
